Rajala -************** OT *************** Its the power of 'The Committee'. Slowly, inexorably the French have prodded, cajoled, threatened, armtwisted all the major pieces toward getting an EU army. It is they who have been pushing for it every inch of the way. Of course small countries like Ireland haven't seriously opposed it because they like Greece want to be good memebers of the Club and they have recieved $billions from the EU and will continue to get $ as long as they don't rock the boat. Just watch the policy and in any event all I have said is that I would like to see France be just a tad more friendly toward the US. I may be utterly biased but I happen to believe that it would be a very nice gesture on the part of the French toward a friend. I assume of course that the French consider the US to be somewhat of a closer friend than say Iraq or Iran. Regards, L
