Once Again We have Positive News. The news can be accessed directly from the vancouver Stock exchange. Little Joe NTERNATIONAL WAYSIDE GOLD MINES LTD. ("IWA-V;IWYGF-L") - More Diamond Drill Assay Results on BC Vein J. Frank Callaghan, President of International Wayside Gold Mines Ltd. (the "Company"), announces that Mr. Robert Reid P.Geo. has reported to the Board of Directors of the Company on the progress of the BC Vein surface diamond drilling program at the Cariboo Gold Quartz mine project. Drilling has now been increased to two shifts per day. Mr. Reid reports; "The positive results from diamond drill holes BC98-01 to BC98-05, (News Release 98-21 & 98-23) have shown that high grade gold mineralization is far more extensive than indicated by surface and underground development. The diamond drill was moved from BC98-06 to BC98-10 to setup on the hangingwall side of the vein, utilizing existing trails allowed the Company to drill a 600 foot stepout, westerly from the impressive results of drill hole BC98-05. This site enabled testing under and around an area of the BC Vein at the Goldfinch Fault junction where surface sampling yielded 0.38 oz. gold across 6.8 feet along 70 feet. The Goldfinch Fault offsets the vein 170 feet northerly. Surface sampling of the vein on the foot wall of the fault yielded 0.51 oz gold across 6.8 feet along 75 feet (west of offset, the vein is named the American Extension). The vein extent to the west of this zone is open and untested." (see plan) The drill is now set up in between BC98-05 and BC98-10, also on the hangingwall side which will enable testing of the majority of the gap by fan hole drilling. Starting with BC98-11, these next holes re designed to outline what is becoming a high grade ore shoot. To date only 25% of the surface exposure of the BC Vein has been drilled. The surface exposure of the BC Vein is at least 2,400 feet in length, averages 20 feet in thickness, and is known to a depth of 850 feet, dipping at 68 degrees. Follow up on the extensive BC Vein system east of the shaft (which returned positive results BC98-02) remains to be tested (1200 feet in length). BC98-06 failed to intersect the BC Vein as it crossed the Goldfinch Fault. Therefore additional drilling for possible "drag ore" (ore carried within the lateral movement of the fault) will be required. Holes BC98-07 and BC98-08 tested under the known surface zone. the visual results of these led to the decision to complete the available fan from this set-up. Drill holes BC98-09 and BC98-10 were targeted 50 feet east of the surface zone returning impressive values. Due to the friable (easily crumbled) schistose nature of the host rock there is poor core recovery. This also occurs within the veins due to cleavage, faulted contacts and the crystalline nature of the me massive pyrite sections. This results in ore grade material being recovered from the drill holes as mostly sludge. Assays on this material, taken over ten foot intervals, are characteristic of the ore grade of the vein. In zones of poor recovery, both core and sludge results are indicative of the gold content of the intercepts.
