Forget the OS the DB the server...etc, those are just Microsoft's traditional business, and is still growing. Look at the big pictures. Due to the progress in technology in the recent years, many business opportunities have opened the door for Microsoft. Think about the followings : 1) Microsoft University : Courses were offered through the net in real time or you can download the record of the class. 2) Microsoft Visual department stores : Orders were sent through the net, and products are delivered by UPS from the local distribution centers. 3) Microsoft medical center : Medical information of patients is acquired through sensers and sent to the remote medical centers to be analysized by computer, and prescription is issued by computer. A big database of medicines are installed in a supercomputer in the medical center for analusis purpose. 4) Microsoft entertainment center: music , movies , books , papers, magazines, were transmitted to the end customers through bit and byte in a matter of seconds. 5) Microsoft loan center 6) Microsoft communication center: Now everyone on earth can communicate with each other through the 24 sattlites on the low orbit anytime anywhere , and the equipment to use is PDA controlled by CE (Wireless communication). You can also send data, voice, video image to anywhere ,at anytime you want. 7) Microsoft Las Vegas : Now you can gamble on line. 8) Microsoft game center : etc.
