Well it's in keeping with the trend and if a real economic slowdown does appear here ... also consistent with the OPECs pleas for cuts in production.

Week before last I noticed airlines and recession mentioned in some articles in the newspaper.

Would be interesting to find a chart depicting the annual amount of supplies stored or better yet monthly along with usage statistics by the various sectors. I'll dig around when I get time. I know I saw something somewhere on the latter.

M5, Oil is in serious trouble from a S/D picture and I would be very careful. Unless Asia turns on a dime, it looks cooked for quite some time - which producers are going to cut back at these levels - they need every dime they can get.

The oil bulls are trying to hang their hat on the hope that Y2k will be a disaster. Apparently this could be a problem since it arguably is the most computerized industry around. But I wouldn't want to bet on that now.
