The A.D.A.M. Online Encyclopedias To
Be Offered On ADAM.COM

Building ADAM.COM as the ultimate destination for 'the inside story' on our
bodies, our health and things to keep us well

The A.D.A.M. Online Encyclopedias continue to attract millions of eyeballs

ATLANTA, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- A.D.A.M. Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADAM - news) today
announced some strategic steps towards building ADAM.COM, a new destination designed to change
the world's view of the human body and health information first announced in July, 1998.

Beginning in January, 1999, the A.D.A.M. Online Encyclopedias will be prominently displayed on
ADAM.COM as the site begins to transition into a consumer-oriented health destination. ''We intend to
bring to the Internet the same unique way of presenting health and medical information that has been
evident in A.D.A.M. products for years,'' said Robert S. Cramer, Jr., A.D.A.M.'s chairman and CEO.

The A.D.A.M. Online Encyclopedias have already been receiving significant traffic directly from search
engines that have indexed the articles contained in the A.D.A.M. Online Encyclopedias. Because the
Encyclopedias are so detailed containing approximately 10,000 articles on diseases, treatments and
medications, they have become an important online sources of very specific health and medical
information. The Company estimates an average of more than 2 million page views have occurred
monthly over the past several months.

A.D.A.M.'s Internet initiatives also got a major boost in October when the Company was awarded a
prestigious $1.2 million grant from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. This grant will
help A.D.A.M. develop an Internet-based authoring system that will allow developers, publishers and
end-users to license A.D.A.M. content directly from the web. The Company believes the authoring
system, to be located at ADAM.COM, will generate significant online traffic from a variety of vertical
markets. The funding for this two-year program is expected to begin in January, 1999.

Mr. Cramer continued: ''As we announced this past summer, A.D.A.M. is making a major commitment
to the Internet because it provides an excellent new distribution channel for our award-winning visual and
clinical content. We believe that the A.D.A.M. brand, the millions of customers who use our CD-ROM
and Internet products, our high visibility on CNN and our relentless commitment to quality and accuracy
puts us in a strong position to be a major player in online health information. Especially as broadband
grows, we believe that our visual assets will become even more important.''

Mr. Cramer also noted that the valuation of other publicly traded Internet health companies, including
OnHealth Network Company (Nasdaq: ONHN - news), with an approximate market capitalization of
$58 million, and Mediconsult.com, Inc. (MCNS), with an approximate market capitalization of $107
million, reflects well on A.D.A.M. ''If you compare our assets, our historical financial performance and
cash positions, A.D.A.M. is a company that should warrant strong investor consideration.''

A.D.A.M. is a world leader in providing visual medical information including 2D and 3D imagery,
animations and clinical text to the educational and professional markets. A.D.A.M. produces products
and visual content that help users understand the complex workings of the human body through the use
of multimedia and Internet-enabled technologies. A.D.A.M. also offers a broad range of content and
custom software components that assist medical application developers enhance their own product
offerings. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the company is traded on Nasdaq under the symbol
ADAM.

Lets see if we can find info that ranks
web-sites by:

1. Number of hits they get..
2. Number of transactions that occur..

This would be very valuable info to separate
the gems from the goats in e-commerce..

NAVR..needs to stop "talkin" about Netradio IPO and
