Johannes, The point I am trying to get across is that most people feel that at one time or another they get screwed. But this is the nature of all systems. Find me a system that will convince all the people that they are being treated fairly. You know better. Libertarian system may well work fine for you. Would you understand those who would sabotage this system because they don't believe? Democracy is the choice we have made. In order to live up to it we must take the good with what we consider the bad.Or work to make other voters understand our point of view. I am as radial an environmentalist as many are with regards to pro life. I could make a case that satisfies myself as to the justification on moral grounds of the unibomber. But if I do I will be no better than those who I am chastising here. I must make a case that satisfies 51% of voters. Thus change the laws that I so passionately abhor. I do indeed understand the pain of the pro life movement because I have the same pain with regards to my feelings on the environment. Don't tell me that we are talking animals vs babies here. Irrelevant, for the the purposes of this discussion. I believe that is the point ! Ish and those like him also believe [with regards to pro life] Our belief does not justify violent action.You know why?1. we have accepted the system and all it's benefits. 2. Because in spite of our self assuredness we both could be wrong! pez
