Here's yet another mistake my horrible brokerage made that actually turned out in my favor... SureTrade has done it again! Those idiots sold 1000 shares too many of ONSL in my account yesterday. So this morning I find I'm short 1000. I was goin' nuts for awhile when it started going up after being down so much. They had labeled it as being in my margin account, so I couldn't trade it. It had to be in my short account to trade, another mistake. I finally talked to them on phone after sending a slew of e-mails threatening legal action and the guy said I was still short, etc. etc. Then he puts me on hold after 1 1/2 hours of holding, says he'll put me on waiting list to talk to broker. So I hang up check online my account and find that they covered it themselves apparently from all my legal threats in the e-mails. There is a bunch of other foolish things they did, but more on that later. So I ended up making over 7K from those idiot's mistakes. I had proof it was their fault so even if it went up I couldn't lose. I also told them that they'd be hearing from my attorney and the S.E.C. Can anyone recommend a decent online discount brokerage with fast executions? I had Datek before SureTrade and they seemed to do a fairly decent job.
