Hi Beeble,

Depending on where my short-term technicals are at the time, I will go long at 9000. If we start getting another STAIRSTEP, which would imply that the trend may be heading down more, I would have to adjust my position.

I will be looking for a CLASS BUY per my system; however lets say that it never gets that low and bounces up a little and starts oscillation in a range. We could be getting another STAIRSTEP. That is what happened the last time.

STAIRSTEPs are just RECTANGLES, and like WEDGES, PENNANTS, FLAGS normally take the direction of the immediate trend.

What I will probably do is if I do get a CLASS BUY signal, I will go for it, but if there is not an immediate pop to the upside (within 1-2 days), I will close the position.
