I think that a lot of today may have had to do with the brokers taking the net stocks off the marginable list. For example: #reply-6615081 Why would they do that? 1) Risk of a big drop in price. 2) Many of the Brokers are also market makers. If the call options and short positions on the nets go to expiration at Friday's prices; MM's may be in serious trouble. 3) Opportunity to position themselves for the factor of 4 increase in sales that web sites like AMZN are reporting for this Christmas season. Food for thought anyway.
