Well said: We can make money at this; but we will always be playing
at their table. They control the game. Wall Street at el. must be
the only people to actually die from choking on their on laughter at
us 'retailers'.

Well, yes, that's the effect of it, but many of these kinds
of restrictions come about due to lobbying by consumer advocates
and other self-appointed guardians of the "little guy". I
don't wonder that the sharks publicly acquiesce while they
privately lick their chops as Consumer's Union and
Ralph Nader hustle their prey and put big locks on all the
escape hatches in the name of "protecting the little guy."
What these "protectors" gain is, of course, enormous power
and influence to carry out their own agendas at our ultimate
expense.

But let's not confuse that with our real protection, which
would come with really competitive markets, free-flow
of information, and holding transgressors responsible
rather than trying to make every self-indulgence, or
for that matter smart strategy, impossible. Eg, interfering
with the free market via circuit-breakers.

Sorry, I'm suffering a euphoric reaction to banking my
Datak cash-out check last Friday <ggg>. Now if it just
clears before the SEC gets onto the boys in Jersey ...
