Mark, I have not signed on to the margin call (due to changed fed margin rules) rumor, yet. So we are left with the the old rules on margin calls.

If we assume nuts were max margin buying in AMZN, and only AMZN, at say $210, the stock needs to fall to 150 before margin calls start going out (if you have a brokerage that allows the max fed limits). I just find it hard to believe there are that many idiots out there. So, I don't think we will see a long margin driven sell panic going on, yet.

I would expect a "sticky" down movement. BWTFDIK, I never expected the extent of this manic rise. -g-

BTW, QDEK is a good example of how this works, although it didn't shoot up anywhere near as fast as the current darlings are.

If margin requirements are tightened then da SHORTS will suffer da same tightening........hahahaha
