Jeffrey: I am still bullish on the small caps. I think you are right to check their performance relative to the big boys. We are at ignition point for any January effect rally. Moreover, the small caps lead the market down in the summer. When we approach record high valuations in the big caps and assuming we do not get internut valuations in these as well, either the market must broaden out to the smaller caps or the rally goes into a market consolidation or correction IMO. Maybe we get a consolidation or correction and then a broadening out of the rally to the small caps. I can live with that prospect.

Perhaps it's just that the stocks that moved up the fastest and most are now taking a little bit more of a rest.
