I luv you guys (now pass me that Bud Lite)
It's very interesting to be analyzed and I do put a lot of value on your insights.

I posted the SGI release because I came across it and saw that it had not been posted. If that had been a release of LU signing on with Rambus I would have done the same - please don't shoot the messenger.

I've traded Rambus for the past 13 months and been very successful. If one looks at the pattern of the Rambus stock it is easy to recognize the ups and downs. Yes, the story has definitely gotten stronger and better but it is still a story with future earnings (huge future earnings).

Fidelity has been a buyer and are right now a potential seller like all holders.

I really honestly think that Rambus will "correct" itself down to 65-75 in the very near term.

I thought earlier that this stock would be tradable until end of Q1-99 (calendar) but am slowly changing my mind to it being tradable the rest of this year but no longer. The "danger" is that products hit the market faster than expected (early 1999) combined with new licensees in the network arena. When (not if) we get those announcements (my guess is January) we will be at a point of no return and will surely also see a stock split.

So, to conclude IMHO:

a. Rambus will "correct" down to 65-70 range (it must break the 87 support very soon for this correction to happen). Look back and you will see this fits the pattern with one exception: we are now in a 20-30 point higher range as far as swings.

b. Rambus will bounce off 65-75 and climb to 100 by mid-January

c. New announcements will set the stage for our party mid-February (could actually come earlier - depends what the story is 01/14 after the close).

d. Rambus should reach 200 in 1999 and 400 in 2000

e. I think my estimates found at McKenzie Webster's web-site is very conservative when it comes to 2000 and 2001

f. SGI is talking about current hardware - they've signed on to Rambus for future releases - no worries.

I am currently flat Rambus because I believe in what I write - no other reason. I've always stated that if you're long there's no problem but if you want to trade there's potentially even more profit to be made (look back and you'll find me saying that a number of times).

Please do not put me in the FUD category - I don't belong there.

ps Anybody that asks me for one good stock all get the same advise: Buy RMBS and hold it until 2001 or $ 400.00 whichever comes first ($ 400.00 probably will).

sorry for the length .....now pass me that Bud Lite friends!
