Ameritrade open orders don't always work

Yesterday, I tried several limit sells on my NAVR, but the site was so lagged that I could not get through, and the phones were even worse. So, since I had to leave to go somewhere, and since the price was below 15, I figured I better just issue a market sell just to get out before my nice profit turned into a loss (in at 12 on Friday). An hour later, I relogged on and checked, and my limit order was still open!! I cancelled it at that time, since it was about 18, and called to confirm my out, (which they could not definitively do), and I then issued a limit sell at 16.75 and was out at 17 1/16. I should have flipped it a few times, or held on for a return to the mid 18's, but at least I got out, eventually, with a decent profit. But, it is time for new broker. And, I should have level II today...lets hope, anyway. I also had severe problems with my Interquote real time quotes yesterday. I am starting up a new service this month that, I hope, gives better reliability, and level II, and will be switching to a whole new broker with integrated trading and level II like MB Trading soon to eliminate these problems.
