You really had better be careful about Soorah, Thomas. I read today that there are a lot of riots in Indonesia, and that Christians are slaughtering Moslems. At least thirty people have been killed. Last month, the Moslems hacking Christians to death. Suffice to say, there is a lot of religious tension there. I am not sure why there is so little humor of the topic of varying religious beliefs, and I think Rushdie certainly had the right to express his feelings in a novel. Maybe all the religious groups who do not believe in freedom of press or freedom of speech should go live on an island together, and leave the rest of us alone!
