vepoc...just came back...
(my oldest son plays soccer.)

The CPQ thread has undergone a change.

It has become the Elizabethan thread...Shakespeare...
Comedies and Tragedies......"alas poor CPQ I knew it well..."
..."something is rotten in Houston"...help me out Prof. vepoc.

(I only know Goethe, Schiller, and Wagner----my favorite
is Karl Maria von Weber)

but wait!....CPQ has been a comedy and tragedy for the last year...
maybe this is fitting...

Loki

Futures and HK not looking so good at moment....

vepoc, El, Richie, Loki, Jimbo, JB, rudedog, and thread,
Many warned that the market was over valued. I kept reading and hearing this advice with a few calling for 10,000 at the end of the year. I felt like the Long Ranger posting the information on this thread. <g>

Now, it appears the market and Compaq will drift lower for a while. How much will we will drift down before we bounce back up? This could be a mute point tomorrow.

I am looking to recoup some shares called due to the untimely surprise by Greenspan followed by a predictable reduction by the Fed this month. (Such are the risks and rewards of selling covered calls.)

I would like the thread's opinion on how low the share price might drop. This would help me determine a good point to recoup my shares. It might also help pass the time.
