dull boring stocks: in recent days, i have added the following stocks to my personal portfolio: LZB- Laz-y_boy - furniture mfg. 16 3/4, PE 13. chart looks great, strong support in 16 area, expect run to 18 or better. UST - maker of smokeless tobacco, good yield, great chart, buying back 10% of stock now that tobacco settlement has been reached. stock is near high in mid 30's, think it can "chew" its way up to 40 before too long. OXY - Occidental Petroleum - low 20s, good yield, chart looks bottomed, but hard to tell with oils. bot it that someone will buy it in sympathy with xon buying mob. someone, please buy it. not boring: CD - Cendant - looks great, up a point today on huge volume. GS upgraded, said problems are behind it, has 10-20% annual growth prospects, is buying back stock. i say amen, and i don't mean that hail mary religious internet stock. Hardly too late to buy CD, expect CD to trade 25-35 in 1999. Internuts: - whew, makes tulips look calm. ONSL 24 to 36 to 60 to 97 to 61. yup, i've grabbed some nice pieces of those moves. yup, i'm scared s**tless of that stock. I do have a position in CYCH, last sold it friday at 22 something, bot it back today at 16 9/16. Flipped SKYM for almost a point, thankyouverymuch. It would be safer smoking a big cigar on top of a keg of dynamite than playing these stocks, but not as much fun, gggg right ron. larry
