Kimberly,

<<No rumor, heard it 3 times on CNBC. Not entirely disallowing margin, but change margin requirement from 50% to 75% on about 70 Internet stocks. I will try to find some written confirmation somewhere.>>

I heard all three of the same reports on CNBC - regarding increasing margin requirements for ***CERTAIN*** internet stocks. EGGS was specifically mentioned as one of the 70 or so stocks on this so called list. I suspect there will be lots of print on this issue in the WSJ tomorrow and on the news tonight...

There was rumor of this last week, interesting to see how accurate that rumor was.

There are likely many more longs on margin than shorts, so I suspect this will have a dampening effect on these crazy internet stock prices - any comments?

I suspect it is time to get out of this one anyway after todays wild action. I'm looking for safer position - not crapshoots that lose gobbs of money.

Cheers Steve

Its not a rumor. Fidelity raised margin on ONSL to 80%. EGGS is still 50%. Basically stocks with small floats get higher margin %.
