Mike,

I called on DG to see if they were obligated to pay ALTS for 6500 seats contracted -- and they are. DG has actually reduced its DG group down to about 10 to 12 employees from a high of 30+. They also merged the department with thier "in-house" professional services group, therefore DG will not likely OEM much product from here out. They plan/intend to sell nearly all of their (VAR) DM products right out of the box. The staff needed to convert product to OEM is no longer present. The group, from what I understand, was actually a distinct and separate division of DG and now is completely in house.

If anything, they might have to subcon-out (or sell), some of their existing maintain/serve biz. back to the original ap devs.

They mentioned PCDOCS, Highland, and ALTS as a few companies that they are reasonably active with -- and a few other names I did not immediately recognize.

They are not, in anyway, interested in acquiring any DM company from what I gathered. SAIC, for its part, has a group that has assisted ALTS with product development and deploy, however, I'm told ALTS is looking to partner/merge/acquire with a company that has specific/complimentary technology (i,e. internet/browser/search.)

Apologies again to you DCTM folks!!!
