Dont play that game, I have a PPRO 166 512kb overclocked at 233, with a good motherboard and 50ns EDO, and it is *way* slower (also with mutant alien blaster games) than my 233 K6 system...Most benchmarks in window 98 score quite a bit better, only under NT with high-end benchmarks with fpu intensive applications the Ppro scores quite a bit better.

For clearety : I used a Viper 330 for both systems to compare.

The only reason i bought the ppro 166 512k because it shipped together with an excellent motherboard (dual socket 8) for a mere $ 125...

And that is little money for the 512 kb full speed L2 , not ?

ps. Ppro and 233mmx -for me- were the end of intels honest, powerfull and technically state of the art cpu's for their time, although CeleronA300 is a good one to (but lacks a good upgrade path in the future -slot1, and is still based around the ancient ppro core)
