Intel to acquire iCat

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov 30 (Reuters) - Chip maker Intel Corp. said Monday it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately held iCat Corp.

No terms were provided.

The transaction will be made through a subsidiary of Intel and is expected to be completed before the end of the year, Intel said in a statement.

ICat, based in Seattle, provides e-commerce software and services.

I too bought OMKT but I think this news of INTC is bad.......OMKT is 1% owned by INTC ....look at the PR from June 1998.....INTC will probably dump this stock and leave no major company support. We have problems at the open!

Im trying to figure out if iCat is anyway connected to Pandesic. Anybody know? Pandesic is the joint venture between intc and Sap - a real loser. If they are just going to plug iCat into Pandesic then the iCat news is a no-op.
