Just look at the following sad story.<G> Jeff << Big Boy is kidnapped again in Toledo -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TOLEDO, Ohio, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Another ''Big Boy'' has been kidnapped in Ohio -- this time from in front of a Toledo restaurant. The checker-painted $3,000, 500-pound Big Boy restaurants mascot -- grinning and carrying a giant hamburger -- was reported missing Sunday afternoon. Store Manager Drema Demers told the Toledo Blade she suspects foul play because: ''I know he was happy here. He was always smiling.'' About three years ago, a group of teenagers calling themselves the Pimps of Pimplyness kidnapped another Big Boy from the same place. After dismembering it, the group littered Toledo with body parts and notes that declared ''Big Boy is Dead.'' Demers told the newspaper those body parts were to be offered as ''organ donations'' to other damaged Big Boys. ''We still don't talk about it. It was very painful for us.'' That incident resulted in radio and television jokes across the nation. Three months later, thieves took yet another Big Boy from a Port Clinton restaurant, east of Toledo. And, in 1991, a Big Boy disappeared from another Toledo restaurant. In 1995, Big Boy appeared the roof of the high school in suburban Perrysburg. Detectives said it was unclear how the thieves cut the 500-pound Big Boy from his bolted pedestal. If convicted, the thieves would face up to one year in prison -- although police detectives admit the case is not at the top of their priority list. --- >>
