What has happened is not simply a "mere technicality" and was completely predictable. The rules are quite clear.

I must then conclude that it was intentional on the part of management.

Logically, one must conclude that management is short their own stock, and/or has some other reason to want to torpedo it.

That's a rather misleading way to put it. After hunting for what you meant, I see they may pick up OzEmail, not just the shares.

I doubt it would have any effect on ESVS or ZULU. I wouldn't start getting the idea that they'll start pumping money into this. OzEmail have already written down the investment, by Sept/98's statement, the investment was listed at less than 1/3 of what it did in Dec/97. We shall see what they say on their year-end 1998 flings.

Suffice it to say it probably won't be a ke part of any negotiations.
