Maybe everyone already knows this, but just in case...you can transfer the securities in your E*Trade account to another brokerage, without having to liquidate them. I just transferred a bunch of stuff in but given my experience so far, I am now looking for another broker. It is clear that their growth has outstripped their ability to support it. Unbelievable.

I did print out info after the transaction was updated to my account. Even now after they MANUALLY changed my account, all the transaction records, tax records are still there. The excuse that etrade gave me was "a guy on the exchange floor make a sell order error". That's unacceptable. I am ready to get an attorney and fight etrade. Any legal services you can recommend?

Whatever you do don't try Ameritrade, they are horrible. great commercials, website slow and often down, touch tone phone system often rings and NEVER picks up.

I guess none are perfect but I can't find many that have stop limit orders and AON orders.
