Dan, you're in-depth analysis and defense of Clinton is noteworthy, only one problem though. I never mentioned Clinton in that post. :-)

What is it? Are you so in love with him that you see people attacking him at every street corner. <gg> Do you often mistake casual conversation as attacks on Clinton? :-)

I suggest a good therapist. You may want to talk to E about this. Sounds like she has a friend that could use the work. :-)

Dan, it's easy to always say that what people place on these boards is not in-depth enough. If you would like I could just cut and past some studies of these issues from the Heritage Foundation? :-)
Somehow I don't think it would matter to you though. Launching attacks on others idea's is about ALL real liberals know how to do. They haven't came up with a unique concept to solve any of these problems for 40 years! Just throw some more money at it, or how about that great one, we need better rehabilitation for inmates? We need to understand their needs better. If we could understand them, we could meet on a common ground and agree on what laws they feel they should follow huh? I care more, I'm a liberal. It doesn't matter that the guy got out of jail and killed someone's family or raped someones daughter?

Your deep analysis of the Texas school book issue is pathetic at best. Show me one study which corroberates your statement. And I don't mean those in-depth Dan Rather 6.7 second sound bites you usually take at face value. :-)

Funny, Catholic schools seem to put out an intellectually nourished child every year.

Cigarretes have been a health problem for adults for decades. However, can you name me one person under the age of 21 who has died from a smoking related illness? It's BS to say it's the number one threat to our children, when there are aids, drugs and violence and so much more to worry about.

I guess it would be pretty tough for the President to talk about proper sexual relationships or drugs though huh? :-) So the willing liberals are on a campaign to save our children from the evils of cigarretes. Doesn't matter that it won't make a hill of beans to teenagers. It makes for good press and liberals need an enemy. That enemy is now big tobacco. A few years ago it was oil companies. Predictable transparant behavior as usual. I smoked as a teenager, and simply quit in my mid twenties. I bet their are millions upon millions of people who did the same thing. I doubt whether my health suffers any terrific damage because of it.

When will liberals get it. Money alone won't fix our schools, we need systemic answers. Drastic change is necessary. Of all the items in your post I believe the one about blaming the ills of education on dumbed down textbooks created by Conservatives is the most hollow and shameful.
