MOSCOW, December 1 (Itar-Tass) - The Bank of Russia's gold reserve amounted to some 515 tonnes by December 1, 1998, head of the Bank's department for precious metals Sergei Kyshtymov told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

In his words, the Bank has bought 69 tonnes of gold this year. "We are ready to buy all the Russian gold offered to us," he stressed.

The Bank of Russia is also ready to buy the domestic platinum be given the right to free platinum exports. "On that condition we are ready to allocate funds and buy the platinum," Kyshtymov said.
