Company Press Release

Daw Technologies Inc. Awarded North
American Contract Valued in Excess of $3
Million

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 1998--Daw Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:DAWK -
news), has been awarded a new contract valued in excess of $3 million with a large North American
manufacturing company constructing a new fabrication facility in Mexico.

While the contract amount is yet to be finalized, work is scheduled to begin immediately on the 15,000
square foot, Class 100 cleanroom facility. On-site construction will begin during the first quarter of 1999
with final completion scheduled during April of 1999. This contract is the first project Daw
Technologies has received to be completed in Mexico.

''We are very pleased to be awarded this contract'' stated Steve Burt, senior vice president of field
operations. ''In addition to a rapid response to their bid request, the customer required immediate
mobilization to begin the manufacturing and construction project.

''We were clearly able to demonstrate our ability to offer a complete turnkey cleanroom operation in a
very short period of time. Due to this short time frame we continue to work out the details of the project
and estimate the total project could be as high as $4 million.''

Daw Technologies Inc. provides ultra clean manufacturing environments for customers throughout the
world and specializes in the design, engineering, manufacturing and installation of cleanrooms meeting
stringent semiconductor manufacturing requirements, eliminating particles up to 1,000 times smaller
than the diameter of a human hair. The company also produces a new line of semi tractor sleeper shells.

The information discussed in the previous paragraphs contains forward looking statements that are
subject to risks and uncertainties that could result in actual results differing materially from those
projected. These risks and uncertainties could include, but are not limited to, the climate of the
semiconductor industry, the timing of significant customer orders, product pricing pressures and
challenges from competitors.
