Not that I have anything against free but I don't see how programmers make any money at it.

Free or open source doesn't mean ALL software is free. There will always be someone to pay us to program something that is not available. It is simply a better way of developing software.

This is a movement that goes beyond software development. On a higher level, it is an evolution in human development. And it is the internet that has allowed this to really happen.
