Drew, give the fact that Ashok Kumar is a sell-side analyst, he may have an agenda. But, earlier he was mocked and jeered on this thread. (#reply-4878403) only to prove that he was right. In the last 6 years I haven't seen a single sell-side analyst who said that a company may miss estimates even after the company touts told otherwise. Ashok Kumar is an exception. I know you are in love with gateway and Dell and hence you have your agenda to dislike him. But, at the moment he appears to be the only sell-side analyst trying to tell at least some truth about the real picture. Let us face it - both Mr. Ponytail and Michael Dell are proven liars.

Gateway always has a story - remember "in like a lamb out like a lion"? they used that last year when they were missing quarters. We should be hearing about how strong the quarter is at this point. Remember they said they had all this backlog to ship at the end of last quarter? Where is the backlog? Sounds to me like Ashok is on to something. GTW is just not competitive. Tell me why these guys are building stores when the whole world is moving to the web? This is egghead in reverse.
