Bottom Fishing ideas ?

Now that the E&P's are returning to prior 52 week lows in many cases; even stalwarts like EVER are starting to crack...

The contrarian plays are the pure heavy crude companies and the value plays may just be the pure naurtal gas plays that have suffered from the baby getting thrown out with the bathwater syndrome...

Natural Gas obviously does not have to supply overhang problems of crude, does not suffer from massive import gluts and the US Nat Gas companies do not suffer from foreign demand slumps etc.

I like PGEI as a low cost producer with very low production costs and high growth prospects; and is a virtual clone to EVER with it's coal bed methane and waterflood project plays.

SGO looking real cheap - especially in light of it's merger; APA ( 8 year low !) & APC with solid balance sheets and cash, look real solid as well. I'd love to see capitulation in EVER again; $11-12 would be FREE money.

Any ideas on either top picks for Natural Gas plays (EGAS PETD etc.) or the more ''oily'' names like NEV or WZR ? Value plays like RRC (real cheap again) ? comments...suggestions ?

If Crude hits $8; with the accompanying reserve/asset writedowns; will there be any better pure value plays than this sector ?
