Jeff:

I think Loral came down with the market and with G*. Momentum players had jumped on G* and likely are bailing out now. There is also more talk going around about the launch date slipping further, even into January. Who knows. It would not be surprising. This TSA thing seems to be more of a problem than once thought. I have no idea if it is signed, not signed, will ever be signed, who needs to sign it, ????? Maybe the Russians will pull something out of their hat at the last minute and we can still get a launch off in December. For such a cash starved country, you would think they would "play nice."

The DISH/News deal may have contributed, but it couldn't have been much. It is a positive in that the two SKY sats will be finally built and launched. Also remember that Skynet does the TT&C for Echostar. Some people may have wanted to see Loral somehow involved in DBS in that 110 slot, but it didn't happen. Echostar had been using Loral's DBS slots at 60 degrees, and will likely move those broadcasts to 110, so there may be a slight loss of revenue there---not anything significant though. Echostar and Loral are friendly. I would expect this deal to be a net positive for Loral.
