Well, Brian, I hardly pay attention to such rumors and articles. We have one side saying that tons of engineers are leaving AMD, while we have the other side saying that tons of engineers are leaving Intel. Reality is probably somewhere in the middle, i.e. engineers leave both companies all the time, which should be normal for the high-tech industry.

As for two of the top DEC design engineers joining AMD, would you consider that a blessing or a curse? After all, these guys were working for Digital when the 21264 slipped a year. Granted the 21264 will still be the fastest baby out there when it's released, but it does tell me something about the hype-to-reality ratio that these guys have on their resumes. AMD can't afford to suffer the same hype-to-reality ratio when the K7 is released.
