The spread also has been made prohibitive...looks like Only serious Investors are wanted.

Tom: I do not use margin to buy volatile stocks,and am not a big fan of margin to begin with but I do use it sometimes but only to buy the blue chips or similar stocks.

Do you use margin much?

OT - if you use Datek for RT quotes (or quite a few other Web
sources) - take a look at medved.net

It's a shareware program that connects to
sources on the Web and uses the quote data
it pulls to track user's portfolio(s), plot live intraday RT
charts, give stock price alerts, track major indexes, show
historical data charts etc..
