RE<<I only know the trades I described were mindlessly executed. >
Which, again, does not mean it was institutional. Oh, and I read Peter Lynch, as well. Go ask Peter if he "mindlessly executed" trades while at the helm of Magellan. And by "real" institutions, I was merely saying not "fictitional" institutions which you felt were selling "blocks" of 2600 shares. Face it, you were trying to say institutions were selling the stock, when in fact, there was no such selling going on. I merely wanted to let others on the thread know such "institutional" selling was NOT occurring.

And, of course, you are correct in your assertions that institutions attempt to veil their transactions...but that wouldn't be "mindless selling", would it? Oh, and I certainly don't limit the "mindless stupidity" of institutional selling to "non-news days". I was PLAINLY stating they aren't as concerned with 1/16 or 1/8 of a point when they are selling due to news. If they have more time to sell, they don't usually just pull the trigger and put in market orders. I work with those "mindless" institutions. Trust me, they're not as mindless as the public would like to make them out to be.
End of discussion for me....
