Survey:

Who uses "auto-hide" on their Windows "Task-bar"? My guess is only people who also use Internet Explorer use it, because it doesn't work right if you don't have IE running and active--at least with my version of Windows 95.

(I'm pretty sure this is an intentional feature to favor IE over other browsers)

Another thing about auto-hide is that the "minimize all" feature is disabled by it.

Thanks for any responses,
wily

Since the news article mentions BUTTSniffer it is available on the INTERNET at schippers.net in zip format. The site offers this description: "BUTTSniffer is a packet sniffer and network monitor for Win95 and Win98. It works as a standalone executable, and as plugin for Back Orifice. Want to know what's really going on on your network segment? You need BUTTSniffer." I don't vouch for this file or site. To paraphrase someone Downloader beware.

If anyone is interested in learning more about BO, I suggest the following sites:

symantec.com

nwinternet.com
