Ali,

Re: "This "one side" is a liar Elmer alone."

Ali, are you taking over for our "departed" SI member Fuchi ?? He had
his "plug pulled" for good reasons ... It would be really sad to see you
head down the same path, Ali.

Make It So,
Yousef

<On the contrary, another "side" maintains the whole web page igc.apc.org about how "nice" is the environment at your workplace. Maybe in few years we will see your disgruntled article on that web, get ready...>

I'll let Paul answer that.

Meanwhile, I find no reason whatsoever to leave Intel, particularly when my job here is so much better than any other job I've held. Yes, I'm young, and no, I don't know whether I'll be staying at Intel forever, but I'm pretty confident that I won't be "going postal" and putting my face on the disgruntled Intel employee web site.

<I find it very hard to equal these two sources and conclude that the "reality is probably somewhere in the middle", even accounting for the different sizes of the two companies.>

Maybe if AMD were the size of Intel, there would be a web site dedicated to all those disgruntled AMD employees, no? Or maybe you forgot about how extravagantly Jerry Sanders spends money on his own expensive tastes while AMD was in the red and the employees were suffering accordingly? Personally, if I had to work at a company where the CEO is expected to be worshiped liked some deity, I would leave at the first possible opportunity. Last time I checked, I didn't see any busts of Gordon Moore, Andy Grove, or Craig Barrett in the front lobbies of any Intel building.
