Dear Burt: Probably the analyst meeting might have something to do with it. Sure would like to see a strong close and set a new 52 week high. JDN

Burt, Re: "Anybody have some reasons why Intel bumped up over 5% today (which is
otherwise a yawner)? I'm impressed with a move that size."

Flight to quality? Actually, I did hear that old saw used on CNBC early this morning, as what may happen now.

This one brings together a lot of big names, but it's "only a CAD program." Couldn't find any major Intel news. Yesterday's Lehman upgrade a day late because of yesterday's selloff?

Tony

Burt,

My best guess is that many new owners are those who thought the train wasn't going to stop to pick them up so they ran to get on board.

This move is too big not to have a reason. I'm just frustrated that I'm clueless as to the reason for such a large move in such a short time in a crummy overall market. I suspect that a short squeeze is driving the price up (unless there is some hidden news about Intel being sold out through next June or something like that). Not that I'm complaining about the most profitable day I've ever had in Intel.

Burt,

I think it was this report that caused the jump:
