Here is a synopsis of NM conference call. I hope this helps those who didn't get a chance to listen.

National Media business plan is a three pronged approach based on the following:

1)Leverage of existing tv ad time.
a) NM spends over 100m a year on TV time for infomercials. As a comparison this is more than Sears spends on TV time.
b) They have 2000 1/2 hr. blocks a week.
c) The key to this is advertising for E4L COSTS NOTHING. They already own the 30 minute slot, so they can use the time they already own.
d) Commercials are NOT all at 2 a.m. Most run on Saturday and Sunday.65% run from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.; 20% to midnight ; and the rest run overnight. So this is some prime ad time.
e) They are 2nd largest advertiser on TNN. (Also Disc,Lifetime, etc.) They are using this leverage to cut deals with these networks to produce stand alone commercials for E4L.

More on E4L:
1) membership site; NM owns members, splits revenue with CD who is the private labeler of the site. Much like Levi's may make jeans for Calvin Klein, Ford may make vehicle for Nissan, etc.
2) two tier prices for members/non-members.
3) low price guarantee. i.e. If you go to E4L and want to buy a book there is a comparison done by E4l, and if say Amazon has the book for $2 less you are automatically given the lower price. No hassle.
4) 3 to 5% cash rebate.
5) First year members are given $75 free phone card for $72 membership, so you actually come out ahead by joining.

2nd part of business plan:
2) agreement with Broadcast.com to create "infotainment channel"
a) have shopping button on Broadcast.com.
b) shopping button linked to 5 digitized channels featuring Health, Houseware, Motivational, Automotive, Beauty.
c) premise is to create infastructure for marriage of PC/TV.
d) additional 5 live streaming channels.

Also:
1)E-commerce in Japan 16-18 months behind.
2)NM deal with Mitsui who owns 50% aol, 60% of CD site in Asia.
3) apply E4L concept is Asia.

3rd part of business plan:
3) Syndicate National Discount Radio Network.
a) 8 to 10 items an hour on radio show at 50 to 70% discount.
b) reinforce name E4L. (more leverage)
c) already deal with LA radio station.

I know I have omitted much , but this should be a good start on your own DD. Please understand this is my interpretation of the facts as I heard them and I don't claim any of this to be 100% accurate. Please research NM yourself. I am convinced this company will do very well.
