Panita, a great Italian spot in the loop is Maggiano's Little Italy. I think it's on State north of the river. It's probably the best bargain as well. Fine for kids too. A few others... Luciano's on Rush (a little more expensive) Gino's East - for deep dish pizza (any cabbie should know it) Lou Malnotti's - again for pizza (on Wells) Shaw's Crab House - sea food (on Grand I think) Heaven on Seven - cajun (on Ohio) Greek Isle (on Racine) Your 2 year old would really love Rain Forest Cafe (I think it's on Clark) - really amazing and huge salt water aquariums but it may be packed on a friday. Food's great too. Anybody hungry now? Have a good trip PS: Maggiano's parent co's symbol is EAT. RainForest is RAIN. Please let me know how your due diligence goes... gggggg
