Dan,

Nothing EDS does surprises me anymore. Wasn't Alberthal's package about $36 million and a 0.05 impact? So if Fernandes is 0.02 does that imply he's getting about $14.4 million for his stellar performance? And didn't Fernandes, Alberthal, Heller, .... get bonuses and options back in 1996 when EDS tanked so badly. Let's see, under their great leadership, since the GM split-off, the market cap of EDS has declined by 33%, they've missed earnings almost 50% of the quarters, revenue growth has been considerably below the growth rate for the sector. What's really interesting is that if these guys had been lower level EDS employees they'd have likely been let go for poor performance. So when does Heller announce his retirement and what impact on earnings will he have?

It repulses me to see the "packages" they're getting .... but I'm glad we're rid of 2 out of 3 .... I actually thought Heller would be first to go. Maybe whoever comes in as CEO can actually do something positive and turn EDS around.

Dave

Good Luck Gary - My very best wishes to your continued success -
This guy should be the next CEO but its not in the cards.
An old EDSer by the name of Frank Furr once told me something I will never forget. If you ever think you are indispensable, put your hand in a bucket of water, pull it out and see if you leave any hole. I expect the same will occur in this instance. EDS is too deep in talent and new leaders will step in. I hope the board does not screw it up. Gary's retirement should help them find the right person who wants a clean deck to start with.
