Here's another fascinating and little-known fact: major errors are committed by overworked, undertrained and underpaid staff. When my account went online, I found myself staring at another client's screen. I had total access, could have bought and sold his shares at will. More recently, because of a code error, I was the sudden recipient of $187,000 worth of shares in my trading account that I hadn't purchased. That error sat undetected and uncorrected for two full weeks... Steve G>)
