BostonView How far ahead of Bell Atlantic is RCN? Are they offering fast (not dial-up) Internet service in all areas? Bell Atlantic is supposed to start offering ADSL in February to March '99 timeframe in my area (NYC). While the service may not be as fast as RCN, it doesn't require rewiring of buildings and it will make people more content, less eager to throw Bell Atlantic out. The cable service is very attractive. But RCN has to fight a lot of inertia. It takes long time for co-op or condo boards to move and have their buildings rewired. Joe
