Mike, Thanks for the clarification. I was really focusing on the people with advanced and progressing disease, as these are the obvious current candidates for Thalomid; however as you point out, the median is somewhat deceptive as there is a big tail of people who survive for many years. There are detailed statistics available at: www-seer.ims.nci.nih.gov Have you heard of any studies apart from the Arkansas one? Heard of any off-label use yet? Hope that your gene therapy trial works out well - it's easy on SI to forget that there are real people behind all the statistics. Peter
