I was just as far down in the margin mud as the Model was when it was. One problem with matching the Models recovery is that having ridden down the stocks, we were way under where we could have bought, thus if you had taken $40K when we were at $40K equity, you couldn't have bought nearly the amount of stock we were able to hold in the account. If I would have sold out my Personal Account to rebuy what the Model held, I would have been creamed on taxes and by a reduction of what I could buyback and hold in total $ of stock, then wouldn't have been able to get as leveraged as the Model. Also, the shorts that we played were not necessarily shorts that were easy to find shares to borrow in the real world, but there were in fact people who also shorted it successfully (at least who claimed it on the threads), so it wasn't impossible. But, even without that, we've had great returns. Feelin' the holiday diet here, bloat and weight gain! Made some killer Turkey "Clean out the Fridge and Cubbards" Stoup Last Night (cross between Soup and Stew, ie. way too thick and hearty to be soup), an annual tradition. This stuff not only sticks to your ribs, hell if you threw some on the wall it would stick there too. The holiday mood though is that it is getting to be time to battle the crowds and spend way too much on XMAS presents. Hope INCY goes up so I can afford Xmas. Rman
