Jeff, I think it's a good idea to raise the margin requirement on volatile net stocks. But frankly, I think they should make these stocks nonmarginable. ONSL lost almost half its value in 30 minutes yesterday. Raising margin from 30% to 40% is not gonna make a significant difference. As I mentioned today, MALL is no longer marginable at Datek. I applaud their decision for imposing the restriction.

I raised my short term short target to about 50 and maintain my short term long target in the low/mid 30s. I'll only trade when I feel they're high percentage trades (ie., high winning probability). For example, I'll not take any position between 37 and 45 tomorrow. Those are not high percentage trades at this point. I understand that the IPO will debut on Thursday, so I have only tomorrow to do some daytrades if the opportunities arise. The moment UBID first trades, I'll look at my recipe and act accordingly.
