I've had no problems with trades in the past week (Schwab). However, For the past several days, Schwab has had a notice appearing at signon that internet trades on certain securities would not be accepted, and has given a phone number to call to make trades on these securities. EGGS was not one of the listed securities (I don't remember for sure, but I'm pretty sure that E-Bay was).

I'm not sure of the reasons for this, but it's a lot more upfront than going on as if everything is all right when, in fact, there are problems of whatever type and cause.

Always been happy with Schwab, although they are a bit expensive as discounters go.

The Fly: Well, I am not so sure about your alias...<g>

I will be filing an inquiry regarding a slow buy fill Friday. I am waiting until I can actually talk to someone without having to spend an hour on hold. (Etrade)

Regards,
LG

Had a situation with Waterhouse webroker... I placed a market order by pushing the wrong button (too excited!)... (I try not to place market orders thru the 'net)... this was when WAVE was still running up at around 11+. I got my order execution report about 20 minutes later at 15 1/2... at that time the stock was going crazy at 14 range only. Needless to say I was PO'ed and wanted to bitch at somebody, but I was busy with the market.

Message 6633133

Later on I started drafting an e-mail to Waterhouse about the questionable execution of my market order... when I checked my order number in Webroker to reference in my letter, I noticed that the executed price had been changed to 13 1/2 from 15 1/2.

I've always had great luck with those good people in Waterhouse... reasonably cheap trading fee with great integrity. (I owe them this free ad). Anyway my angry letter turned mushy and lovey-dovey, nic-nice. <<<VBG>>>
