Dan worries me. OT, oh deer ~ just a quick transcription of a note from my soooper nice tenant lady: [Gotta go down and see if I can beat back (not beat off) the fireballs her furnace is popping] : I've been blowing the leaves off of the sidewalk onto the flower bed for the last couple of days....as mulch. I was planting bulbs [note: must not be local girl; bulbs are "bubs"] around an above-ground root of the walnut tree. [It's a monster tree.] I must have planted 6-7 bulbs before it dawns on me.....this tree doesn't have above ground roots. So I took a closer look and notice the partially leaf covered root was hairy. Eeeeeek....turned out to be a deer leg. A present from one of the neighborhood canine friends. Hope she's right, of course. (Hey, at least it wasn't hooman.)
