Stephen- Followup on Eun Joo-

Let it never be said that the world of cyberspace does not affect the real world! The discussion on this thread has elicited a pledge of $200 to be sent to Eun Joo's family for her musical development. I hereby pledge another $100 making a total of $300. I note I have not been plugging for financial assistance [yet], as I have not even a good mechanism in place to deliver such assistance.

Does anyone know an inexpensive way to wire small amounts of money to Korea? When I looked into it early this year, Citibank wanted over $50 to wire the money, and as I recall it could only go to the Seoul Citibank branch. I'd like to wire directly to Eun Joo's parents' account, and I've written (not yet posted) the family asking for an account to wire to.

I appreciate the words of support that people on this thread have offered since I broached this subject. I still need advice on how best to render assistance to what appears to be a promising child whose future has been placed at risk by, as I see it, the greed and corruption of Asian politicians.
