Bandwidth Boom to Bust Flat Rate Net

Interested in your view of the article at news.com predicting that flat-rate net access will soon end. Especially interested since WCOM seems to be voicing this concern.

George

In your December issue you write, "Extending this insight in a NEW paper, Christensen..."

Where can I find this paper? Maybe you can put in a link to his papers on your website. A little something to accompany that link to the on-line dictionary would jazz up your web site a bit. Not that those candid snapshots of you on the front page aren't drawing hordes of teenage girls....

Hungry for more Christensen insights,

Cameron Smith

George: Your name always shows up as an expert in the industry who seems to understand emerging technologies and has a clear vision how these technologies apply into the fast approaching "high speed online" future! Could we request for your help as well?

I and many other investors are highly invested in a company called Osicom that has been shipping Metro-DWDM products for few months now. After selling and installing their M-DWDM solution at Texas Utilities and MediaOne, Belgiam Telecom, and other smaller players, Osicom has now signed a deal in China as well. At the same time, Osicom management says that there are 77 other evaluaters (from US, Europe, and China) who are looking into their Metro-DWDM solution called GigaMux and their newly proposed Photonic based broadband networking architecture called Dense Wave Division Networking (DWDN) - providing Transport of IP over DWDM.

GigaMux: osicom.com

DWDN: osicom.com

I and other investors of Osicom would appreciate a fair word on DWDM technologies and solutions from Osicom and others. We value your judgement and experties in this industry!

George:   Do you have any knowledge regarding the activities of Corvis?   This is a company founded by David Huber, the founder of Ciena, and they're apparently working on some optical advances.

Two links to current discussion on the Ciena thread...
