**O/T**<vbg>. I have to admit I end up posting on this board by mistake. However, having ended up here, it looks like a good board to follow.

In answer to you question, the connections may be tenuous, and not very visible, but the signs are there:
Combination of increasing protectionist policies, growing opinions (by those in power) that different economic systems are required as countries and regions struggle to regain control over their economies and destinies, and the world may well split into 3-4 major socio-economic-political groupings a la George Orwell's book. A wild theory? Hopefully so.
